One of the primary considerations in making a new computer purchase is whether to get a desktop or a laptop. There are advantages and disadvantages to each. Briefly stated, desktops are generally cheaper and easier to upgrade than laptops. However, they take up more space and are not portable. As a matter of fact, the desktops greatest disadvantage, lack of portability, is the biggest advantage of a laptop or notebook. Laptops are more expensive, it costs more to get the same processing power and memory in a laptop than in a comparable desktop model. However, there are laptops available that can function as desktop replacements without a significant increase in costs, the Toshiba Satellite for example, click here to purchase: Toshiba Satellite L505-GS5037 . In my opinion, the advantages of a laptop outweigh the disadvantages. For those of us on the go, portability is essential. If you can afford it, get a laptop that has enough power to function as a desktop replacement. You’ll be glad you did.

I like the HP HDX laptop as a desktop replacement, though is it pretty big to carry around alot.
